Specialized Engineering

Specialized Engineering Services

Resolve the engineering questions that need a closer look.

Resolve engineering questions that need more than standard layout or detailing. Teckniv provides focused analysis of piping, structures and mechanical systems to support design decisions, modifications and integrity assessments. We define the question, establish credible loading cases and translate the findings into actions that the design team can use.

Who we support

Owners, EPC contractors and equipment or structural design teams facing a specific loading, vibration, integrity or interface question that needs a focused engineering study.

01 / Engineering capabilities

Capabilities shaped around your project.

The scope is agreed around the decisions, interfaces and engineering outputs your team needs. These work areas can be combined into a defined package.

Piping assessment

Evaluate flexibility, thermal movement, support arrangements and equipment nozzle loads. Review the effects of operating and environmental loads on the proposed piping system.

Structural assessment

Assess static and dynamic response, stability, foundations and supporting structures. Identify load paths and interfaces that need attention during design or modification.

Simulation and design validation

Coordinate finite-element and other specialist studies where the project requires more detailed examination of stress, deformation, thermal behavior or vibration.

Engineering recommendations

Compare alternatives, explain the governing conditions and document recommended changes. Keep assumptions, limitations and acceptance criteria visible in the final report.

02 / Your engineering package

Clear deliverables. Ready for the next team.

The deliverable list is agreed at the start. Each issue identifies its purpose, revision and outstanding inputs for the next project stage.

  • Study scope and analysis basis
  • Loading cases and model assumptions
  • Analysis reports and governing results
  • Interface loads or design-change inputs
  • Recommendations and action registers
  • Reviewed final study documentation

03 / How we work

A clear route from requirement to handover.

We establish the design basis first, then develop and review the package with your project team.

  1. 01

    Agree the requirement

Define the problem and the evidence available.

  2. 02

    Develop the package

Select the analysis method and establish load cases.

  3. 03

    Review & coordinate

Evaluate results and review practical design alternatives.

  4. 04

    Issue & hand over

Issue findings with limitations and recommended actions.

04 / The technical context

Aligned with your facility and requirements.

The equipment duty, project location and client standards determine the methods, platforms and acceptance criteria.

Industries & applications

Process plants, piping networks, equipment installations and industrial structures. Typical triggers include a design change, unusual load case, recurring vibration or a proposed capacity increase.

Software & digital delivery

Piping and structural analysis tools are selected to match the physical problem and required level of detail. Calculations and models document their load cases, restraints, material properties and assumptions so the findings can be checked.

Standards & design basis

Applicable ASME, API, structural codes and client acceptance criteria are selected for the asset and study. The analysis basis states the limits of the assessment and identifies where additional measurements or specialist reviews are needed.

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers to common scope and coordination questions.

What information is needed to assess an existing asset?
Available drawings, material and equipment information, operating conditions and a clear description of the concern are the starting point. Site measurements or condition checks may be needed where the existing records cannot support the assessment.
Can Teckniv review an existing assessment?
Yes. A review can examine the design basis, assumptions, inputs and interpretation of results, with independent calculations included where agreed.
How do we choose between a standard calculation and a detailed simulation?
Start with the engineering decision and the behavior that must be assessed. A focused calculation may be sufficient; complex geometry, contact, transient loading or local stress behavior may require a more detailed model.
What makes the study findings actionable?
The report connects the governing load cases and acceptance checks to specific design changes, operating constraints or further investigations. Recommendations identify the affected discipline interfaces rather than presenting plots alone.
