Optimized Mechanical Solutions for Reliable Plant Performance

Equipment Engineering Services

Equipment Engineering Services

Design equipment around its operating duty.

Specify and integrate equipment around the process duty and the wider plant design. Teckniv provides mechanical engineering for static, rotating and packaged equipment, supporting new installations, plant upgrades and vendor coordination. We connect process conditions with mechanical requirements, layout interfaces and the information needed for procurement and fabrication.

Who we support

EPC contractors, equipment suppliers and plant owners that need equipment specified, reviewed or integrated with process, piping, structural and control systems.

01 / Engineering capabilities

Capabilities shaped around your project.

The scope is agreed around the decisions, interfaces and engineering outputs your team needs. These work areas can be combined into a defined package.

Static and rotating equipment

Develop engineering inputs for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks and rotating equipment. Review operating duties, materials and the design conditions that govern selection or mechanical design.

Specifications and procurement inputs

Prepare equipment datasheets, technical specifications and engineering requisition inputs. Make scope boundaries and package interfaces clear for technical evaluation.

Layout and connection engineering

Coordinate equipment dimensions, nozzles, access and support requirements with piping, structures and other disciplines. Develop 3D representations and general arrangements as required.

Vendor and fabrication support

Review vendor drawings and technical information against the agreed requirements. Track comments and incorporate approved data into equipment and plant documentation.

02 / Your engineering package

Clear deliverables. Ready for the next team.

The deliverable list is agreed at the start. Each issue identifies its purpose, revision and outstanding inputs for the next project stage.

  • Equipment datasheets and specifications
  • Mechanical design calculations where required
  • General arrangement and fabrication drawings
  • Equipment models and interface information
  • Vendor review comments and technical clarifications
  • Material schedules and final equipment records

03 / How we work

A clear route from requirement to handover.

We establish the design basis first, then develop and review the package with your project team.

  1. 01

    Agree the requirement

Confirm equipment duties and the design responsibility matrix.

  2. 02

    Develop the package

Develop specifications, calculations and arrangement inputs.

  3. 03

    Review & coordinate

Review vendor information and coordinate plant interfaces.

  4. 04

    Issue & hand over

Issue the equipment package and close technical comments.

04 / The technical context

Aligned with your facility and requirements.

The equipment duty, project location and client standards determine the methods, platforms and acceptance criteria.

Industries & applications

Process plants, chemicals, oil and gas, power, utilities and industrial manufacturing. Scope can include static equipment, rotating equipment and integrated vendor packages.

Software & digital delivery

Mechanical calculations, equipment datasheets, general arrangements and 3D coordination support the package. The calculation application and native-file requirements are agreed for the equipment type and intended review.

Standards & design basis

Applicable ASME, API and ISO requirements are selected against the equipment duty and client specification. Materials, design conditions, corrosion allowances, inspection requirements and vendor responsibilities are recorded in the equipment basis.

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers to common scope and coordination questions.

Does Teckniv manufacture the equipment?
This service covers engineering, specification and coordination. Manufacturing, supply and inspection responsibilities are defined separately in the project scope.
Can vendor-designed packages be integrated?
Yes. The package interfaces, loads, connections and documentation can be reviewed and coordinated with the receiving plant design.
Does equipment engineering include vendor review?
It can include review of vendor drawings, datasheets and technical submissions against the agreed requirements. Nozzle positions, loads, maintenance space and electrical or control interfaces are coordinated with the plant design.
Who provides the process duty for equipment sizing?
The process design basis normally supplies capacity, fluid properties and operating cases. Where these inputs are incomplete, they must be developed or confirmed before the mechanical specification can be finalized.
