2D CAD Drafting

2D CAD Drafting Services

Create clear drawings your project team can use.

Produce clear, consistent drawings that engineering and site teams can use. Teckniv provides multidisciplinary CAD drafting, document conversion and as-built updates for industrial projects. We develop drawings from approved engineering information, field records and existing documents, with attention to dimensions, layers, references and revision control.

Who we support

Engineering consultants, EPC teams, fabricators and plant owners that need consistent drawings from approved design information, markups or existing records.

01 / Engineering capabilities

Capabilities shaped around your project.

The scope is agreed around the decisions, interfaces and engineering outputs your team needs. These work areas can be combined into a defined package.

Multidiscipline drawings

Prepare plans, sections, elevations and details for piping, mechanical, civil, structural, electrical and MEP scope. Apply the project’s drawing and presentation standards.

Process and engineering documentation

Draft PFDs, P&IDs and other technical drawings from the approved engineering basis. Maintain consistent tags, references and document identifiers.

Legacy conversion

Convert paper, PDF, raster or older CAD information into editable drawings. Review source legibility and identify dimensions or details that require confirmation.

As-built and quality review

Incorporate approved redlines, field measurements or scan-based information. Check dimensions, layers, cross-references and revisions before delivery.

02 / Your engineering package

Clear deliverables. Ready for the next team.

The deliverable list is agreed at the start. Each issue identifies its purpose, revision and outstanding inputs for the next project stage.

  • Editable CAD files and issue PDFs
  • Plans, sections, elevations and details
  • PFD or P&ID drawing updates
  • Standardized layers, templates and symbols
  • Redline incorporation and revision records
  • Drawing registers and quality-review comments

03 / How we work

A clear route from requirement to handover.

We establish the design basis first, then develop and review the package with your project team.

  1. 01

    Agree the requirement

Review the source material and drafting standards.

  2. 02

    Develop the package

Prepare or convert the drawing information.

  3. 03

    Review & coordinate

Check dimensions, references and technical markups.

  4. 04

    Issue & hand over

Issue editable files and controlled drawing PDFs.

04 / The technical context

Aligned with your facility and requirements.

The equipment duty, project location and client standards determine the methods, platforms and acceptance criteria.

Industries & applications

Industrial process, mechanical, piping, structural, electrical and MEP documentation. Work can support new designs, drawing backlogs, legacy conversion and as-built updates.

Software & digital delivery

AutoCAD and project-agreed CAD workflows support drawing production and conversion. Templates, layers, symbols, references, text styles and output formats are agreed so the files can be maintained within the client’s document system.

Standards & design basis

Client drafting standards and approved discipline instructions govern document presentation. Technical design verification and field verification are defined separately from drafting, with revision status and source information traceable on the issued drawings.

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers to common scope and coordination questions.

What is included in a CAD drawing handover?
The agreed editable drawings and review files, together with required references, revision information and the drawing register. File versions, external references, fonts and plotting requirements are checked against the client’s handover standard.
Can drawing updates follow our own CAD standard?
Yes. Templates, layers, symbols, numbering and deliverable formats can be aligned with the client’s documented standard.
Does converting a PDF to CAD verify the engineering design?
No. Conversion reproduces the supplied information in an editable drawing format. Technical validation, dimensional verification or redesign must be included as separate agreed tasks.
When can a drawing be called as-built?
When it reflects verified installed conditions or client-approved field records within the agreed scope. Unverified markups and missing measurements should be identified before the drawing is issued as an as-built record.
